What began as a critique of the overdevelopment and abandonment of Central Nevada, has since transformed into a reflection of my own memory. The interrelationship between a small mining town and the sage strewn high desert became quietly apparent to me in the time I spent outdoors as a child. My parents’ adoration and respect towards nature led the influence in my advocacy for the areas’ condition, though I have recently been interested in more.

What I didn’t understand when I was young is the “why”. Why does this desolate place of natural unfetteredness yield a sense of restriction. What is happening in the community that I so frequently visited that curates such a unique dynamic between people and place. This search is ongoing
